Our client is a fast growing and progressive retailer, providing frozen meals for meat eating pets as well as a number of training equipment and toys. We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative in Totton (SO40), this is a temp to perm position with an immediate start working Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm, £10.00 p/h.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Break down of palletised deliveries

• Drive company van to warehouse to replenish stock

• Picking and packing of stock for store replenishment  

• Ensure store is replenished thoroughly and accurately throughout the day

• Ensure loss and damages are kept to a minimum

• Ensure product is rotated appropriately so nothing goes beyond its sell by date

• Ensure the working environment is maintained within company Health and Safety standards

• Provide holiday cover for drivers if needed

• Actively take an interest in logistics, identifying areas of improvement

 

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable

• Must have a full clean driving licence

• Must have a strong work ethic

• Tidy, organised, self-motivated and accurate

• Be comfortable and able to work quickly and efficiently in a cold store environment

• Has an interest in logistics and supply chain in a fast paced retail environment

• Due to nature of the business, must be comfortable with animals
