Our client in Marchwood (SO40) is a market leader in modular space and portable buildings. We are recruiting for a Modular Cabin Fitter to join their established team refurbishing accommodation and storage units, preparing them for hire. This is a temp to perm position with an immediate start, working Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm at £10.00p/h.
 
​Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Cleaning of units and fittings internally and externally.

• Manual preparation for painting

• Modify and maintain joinery installations within client products.

• General maintenance tasks to timber, plastic and steel portable accommodation units such as; repairing and replacing wall and ceiling boards, fitting partitions, fitting final trims, replacing plywood flooring and removing and fitting wall and ceiling panels.

• Various other tasks, including; interior and exterior doors and fittings, fit sinks, taps and worktops, PAT testing and water pressure testing.

• Assembly, cleaning and loading of a range of furniture into the cabins and removing on completion of hire.

• To work closely with other trades people.

• To work in a safe and sensible manner within the boundaries of Company Health and Safety Policy and any additional site restrictions

• Occasional visits to third party sites to undertake repairs of any nature to portable accommodation units.

 
Personal Specification

• Good general physical fitness.

• Must have a strong work ethic with the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

• Basic understanding and acceptance of Health & Safety rules.

• Good mix of general maintenance skills and a basic knowledge of power tools.

• Basic understanding of plumbing circuits/ systems

• Certificates in MPBA or ECA

• Have a valid CSCS card, would be desirable
