Mayday Personnel have an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, reputable business as a Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team with a great support structure for employees
The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing materials, operating the Counterbalance Forklift, using hand scanners and computer systems.
Requirements
Duties:
Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety.
Operate forklift trucks (both counterbalance and reach)
Manage materials handling processes, including sorting, stacking, and storing items.
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, tracking inventory and producing invoices.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key skills:
Proven experience in a warehouse environment with knowledge of materials handling procedures.
Confidence in basic computer and scanner systems.
Proficiency in operating forklift trucks with a valid Counterbalance certification/licence preferred (candidates with a willingness to learn to operate the forklift is considered)
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Basic mathematical skills for measuring, counting, and recording quantities accurately.
A strong work ethic, the right attitude and a want to grow within the business and develop skills with training provided.
Pay:
Starting rate of £13.17 per hour, with an increase after 3 months.
Working hours:
Monday - Friday
11am - 8pm, 40 hours a week
