About the Role
Mayday Personnel is excited to be working with a fantastic company who are looking for a Pallet Maker/Woodworker to join their team. based in the Fareham area of Hampshire!
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable business based at their Fareham site in Hampshire. The Pallet Maker / Woodworker position will be temporary ongoing on a full-time basis, with a view to becoming permanent after 12 weeks if you get on well!
Requirements
Duties:
Making up crates/boxes for various cargo to be shipped in, ensuring to follow the correct specifications provided
Using hand and power tools such as pneumatic nail guns, wood cutting machinery and industrial saws
Measuring and cutting wood
Making up pallets
Keeping the workshop/warehouse area clean and tidy
Key skills/Experience:
Experience of using hand/power tools (pneumatic nail guns and wood cutting machinery experience is required)
Full UK driving licence
Carpentry or wood working experience (required)
Flexible working times required during busy periods
Friendly and reliable
Good attention to detail and able to follow verbal and written instructions
Pay:
£12.25 to £12.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Working hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00-16:30 (flexibility required during busy periods)
30 minute un-paid lunch break
