Our client, based in Totton (SO40), is looking for a Trainee Inside Sales Person to join their busy team. This is an entry level position, best suiting someone looking to start a career in Sales.

 

Duties will include, but not limited to:  

• Responding to incoming enquiries by phone, fax & email 

• Quote customers price & stock availability using company pricing policy, instruction from sales management team and market knowledge 

• Load sales orders on in-house system and sending sales confirmations to customers 

• Liaise with operation, purchasing and credit control departments to progress customer orders. 

• Deal with customer service issues, liaise with operations and QA departments, raising paperwork as required 

• Update customers on their orders accordingly 

• Process Account Applications, informing customers of procedure and forwarding information to credit control department 

• Deal with credit and debit card sales when required 

• Follow up sales quotations to secure orders & obtain market information 

• Promote sales by contacting customers by ‘phone & email and accompany other members of staff on customer visits  

• Ensure customer sales records are in order and other administrative tasks to ensure smooth running of the office 

Training will be given.

 

Personal Specification:  

• Excellent customer service as this role if very customer facing 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively  

• Must be Computer literate  

• Ability to work well in a team and on own initiative
